Blog: Social networking sites

My impressions on social media sites are that they each have their own personality and focus group. Facebook and WeChat are used to connect with friends and family, whereas Twitter and Instagram are mainly used for followers, publicity, and self-promotion. Facebook and WeChat are more private, as only friends you add or accept can see what you post and message you. While you can change privacy settings on Twitter or Instagram to do the same, most users use these platforms to share opinions with the world, and promote brands along the way.
