BLOG: Blog v Wiki
Blogs are written and edited only by the admin of the blog, while wikis can be contributed to by anyone who has access to it. Blogs are used to share opinions and to gather others' comments on a matter posted. Wikis, on the other hand, are used by users to consolidate ideas to reach an agreed upon consensus on a topic.
Blogs can be used for collaboration through the use of the comments section, reposts, or blog list. The comments section can be used to express opinions on an original post, reposts can be used to raise awareness to a subject matter, and the blog list can be used to refer viewers to other blogs a blogger finds interesting.
A new use for a wiki is to incorporate it in schools for projects and classes. It is a helpful tool for students to collaborate, as well as to create a more interactive learning experience.
Today, there is a convergence of technologies that exist where unrelated electronics become intertwined and collaborative, resulting in business mergers. An example is Canon, which originally sold cameras and then expanded into the printers & copiers business.
